Roles and Responsibilities

Job Purpose
To ensure smooth, secure, and uninterrupted functioning of trading platforms, exchange connectivity, depository interfaces, and back-office systems of the stockbroking business, in compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1.	1. Trading Systems and Exchange Connectivity
•	Manage and maintain end-to-end trading systems across Equity, Derivatives, Currency, and Commodity segments.
•	Ensure seamless connectivity with stock exchanges (NSE, BSE, etc.) including leased lines, VPNs, and backup links.
•	Monitor real-time trading applications for performance, latency, and availability.
•	Coordinate with exchanges, vendors, and telecom service providers for issue resolution and system upgrades.
•	Handle exchange-mandated software upgrades, patches, and circular-driven changes within defined timelines.
•	Ensure high availability and disaster recovery (DR) readiness of trading systems.
•	Perform daily health checks, logs monitoring, and preventive maintenance.
•	Support trading desk and dealers during market hours for any system-related issues.
2.	2. Depository & Back Office Systems
•	Manage depository systems and interfaces with NSDL/CDSL for seamless settlement and corporate action processing.
•	Ensure smooth functioning of back-office systems including client accounting, margining, settlement, and reporting.
•	Oversee data synchronization between trading systems, back office, and depository platforms.
•	Handle system configurations related to client onboarding, KYC integration, and regulatory reporting.
•	Support end-of-day (EOD) and settlement processes ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
•	Coordinate with software vendors for bug fixes, enhancements, and version upgrades.
•	Ensure proper backups, data security, and audit trails for all critical systems.
Compliance & Security
•	Ensure IT systems comply with SEBI, Exchange, and Depository guidelines.
•	Support internal, statutory, and system audits by providing required logs, reports, and documentation.
•	Implement information security best practices, access controls, and user management.
•	Assist in cyber security monitoring and incident response as per organizational policies.
