Job Objective:
To manage day-to-day operations related to Depository Services (NSDL/CDSL), ensure timely processing of demat/remat transactions, pledge instructions, DIS validation, and adherence to SEBI/Depository regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Depository Operations
o Process all types of depository transactions including dematerialization, rematerialization, pledge/unpledge, off-market transfers, and transmission.
o Monitor timely processing of Delivery Instruction Slips (DIS), auto-pay-in instructions, and BO-initiated requests.
o Handle inter-depository and intra-depository settlements in coordination with NSDL/CDSL.
o Maintain and update BO master data in compliance with regulatory norms.
2. Client Servicing & Transaction Support
o Assist clients with queries related to demat accounts, pledge/unpledge procedures, margin pledge, and statement generation.
o Guide branches and RMs on correct procedures for DP documentation and operations.
o Support IPO allotment reconciliation and corporate actions processing (bonus, split, dividend, etc.).
3. Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
o Ensure strict adherence to SEBI, NSDL/CDSL circulars and operational guidelines.
o Timely submission of DP-related reports to Depositories, SEBI, and internal compliance.
o Participate in internal/external audits and ensure closure of audit observations.
o Monitor system alerts for dormant accounts, KYC updates, and suspicious transactions.
4. Reconciliation & MIS
o Perform daily reconciliation of demat holdings, client balances, and transaction logs.
o Prepare and maintain daily/weekly/monthly MIS related to DP operations and client activity.
o Identify and resolve breaks or mismatches in securities balances.
5. System Operations & Process Improvement
o Work on depository back-office systems (e.g., NSDL DPM, CDSL DP Gateway, BO modules).
o Coordinate with the IT team for automation and system enhancements.
o Propose improvements in workflows to reduce TAT and errors in DP services.

Key Skills Required:
• Thorough knowledge of DP operations, NSDL/CDSL processes, and SEBI regulations
• Familiarity with demat account functioning, DIS, margin pledge framework
• Good understanding of regulatory reporting and depository circulars
• Strong coordination and client handling skills
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Excel and BO applications
• Working knowledge of DP software and tools (e.g., DPM, EASI, EASIEST, SPEED-e, etc.)

Qualifications:
• Graduate in Commerce / Finance / Business Administration (Mandatory); MBA (Preferred)
• NISM Series VI (Depository Operations) certification – Mandatory
• 2–5 years of experience in DP Operations in a stockbroking firm or depository participant setup
